THE AL-FURQAN SHIELD

When deciding on a design for our logo, we wanted to reflect the longstanding ethos of the school, whilst reflecting on the Islamic beliefs that we all hold so dear. It had to be simple, yet get our message across clearly. Therefore, we worked hard on developing a finished product that could say all of this in a nutshell.

The Key to Success

With our outstanding results, we have incorporated the 'Key to Success' emblem in the Shiled. Again, this shows what we stand for. Al-Furqan in Arabic means 'The Criterion', ie the values that you choose to decide between right and wrong. In Surah 25 of the Qur'an, Allah (SWT) calls the the Qur'an as Al-Furqan. Therefore, Muslims use the Qur'an as their Criterion to choose between right and wrong. In this way, we at Al-Furqan teach your child to choose between right and wrong by using the True Criterion.

Inna Rabbaka Aleemun Hakeem (Verily, your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise)

This is a quote from surah Yusuf, verse 6. This surah is an amazing chapter of the Qur'an. Allah(SWT) tells the story of Prophet Yusuf(AS) and how he struggled against evil. His tests were so many, and he was tempted by the same temptations that our youth face today, however, he was strong in his faith and always asked Allah(SWT) for help. And when Prophet Yusuf(AS) faced each challenge, he always said 'I seek Refuge in Allah(SWT).'
