Welcome to Al-Furqan Community College’s website. I am delighted that you have considered us as a possible future school for your child.

Our primary aim is very simple, we seek to provide a happy and secure Islamic ethos in which every student can grow and excel, where they can discover and realize their full potential. We offer a caring and supportive environment which caters for all students, irrespective of their background, ability or culture to reach their full potential, where no child is ever regarded as a failure.

Students are encouraged to develop lively, enquiring and independent minds as members of a community which values each and every individual. We promote respect for others, creativity and a sense of responsibility for one’s own actions and for the good of the society. All are important for life beyond school and university.

Our teachers have high expectations of students and are enthusiastic about their subject. They are dedicated to the task of ensuring that their students are happy and successful; care for every individual and a good level of discipline.

Al-Furqan attains the highest standards academically, which are gently interwoven with Islamic values and purpose. However, getting through exams is not the most important aim in education. As we have done for many years, Al-Furqan prepares students for life beyond school where they are model citizens, where they respect others, value other peoples’ views and live as peaceful and law abiding citizens of the country.

The website has been produced to give you an insight into the college and in particular an outline of our objectives and the ways in which we achieve them.
