Every problem is an opportunity and every opportunity a new challenge

Al Furqan Community College (Girls) is an independent school with a current pupil roll of about 150. It has an excellent reputation for its academic achievements, pupil behaviour and for its caring ethos.

Our Promise

“Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe and those who have been granted knowledge” (The Quran 58:1)

The aim of our staff and management team is for each girl in our care to have access to an education which develops her both academically and spiritually. My wish is to prepare these young ladies ready to face the world of tomorrow equipped with high level life skills, good qualifications and excellent communication skills. They will need to learn from life's opportunities, responsibilities and experiences. We want to equip them ready to face the challenges that life has to offer.

Student Care

“The believers are but a single brotherhood so make peace and reconciliation between your two brothers and fear Allah that ye may receive mercy” (The Quran 49:10)

AFCC provides a supportive environment where all girls feel valued. Because we are a small institution this ensures everyone can feel noticed for who they are. Our teachers teach individuals not just subjects and they are all experienced in steering our young ladies as they go through adolescence. We also have appropriate staff ready to deal with individuals who may be experiencing difficulties or have been involved in inappropriate behaviour. In those cases individual strategies are put into place and discussions held so that a socially responsible way forward is found. Al Furqan Community College encourages formation of the whole person and actively promotes good citizenship. Every year we support a charitable organisation and our girls raise large amounts of money for good causes. This develops a sense of responsibility, care and compassion for the less fortunate.

My belief

I fervently believe that there must be a yardstick by which to judge behaviour both positive and negative in all individuals. It is for this reason that places of education such as ours exist to promote messages from the Quran so we may live our lives in its shadow.

Invitation

If after reading the above lines you feel we share common values and you want to work in partnership with us to transform the life of your daughter then I invite you to visit us on one of our Information Mornings.

Come and experience first hand how our students are challenged academically, catered for emotionally, enriched spiritually, stimulated aesthetically and developed in a most caring and comforting manner.
