Volunteering Promotion Event

Advantages of volunteering include boosting your career options, learning new skills and making new friends. Of course it also builds your self confidence. The organisations represented on the day were Age Concern, Local Leagues, Switch Project, Ulfah Arts, Unityfm, Volunteer reading help, Islamic Relief and Mirpuri Community Development Trust to name but a few.

I could do that!	Volunteer Reading Help organises sessions in primary schools to promote reading and literacy	MCDT worker, explaining the invaluable work done by the organisation, within the community
Unityfm another of the organisations, that set up a stall on the day
