National Science Week

As part of the science week our SS class went on a visit to Think Tank at Millenium Point. The trip was mainly funded by the Mirpuri Community Development Trust.

Medical robots! Is this the future?

Bringing astrophysics to life.

Yes you have excellent balance.

Discovering what's in rubbish

Recycling is the way to save our planet.

Learning how a microwave really works!

Team work pays dividends!

Oh yes I've understood the science behind it!

During the course of the week a hands on workshop was also organised and led by a science curriculum leader. Our students learnt how Muslim scientists have contributed to the development of science over the years and how their names have become embedded in the annals of history. The workshop itself was to teach the students how everyday science works and then give the students the opportunity to make and demonstrate their models.
